New Zealand’s South Island is a driver’s paradise. There are many amazing roads and I think the journey truly is the destination here.
There is no better way to see New Zealand than through the window of your own car. Stop and smell the flowers, get that perfect picture, stop and just take in the surroundings. Find seclusion, find the party, do what you want to do when you want to do it. Travel your way.
I plan to add my favourite drives to this section over time. I love driving, and I think you will too. Hear me out, a short time ago I visited Auckland, New Zealand’s largest and busiest City and came to the conclusion driving here would cure my love of driving in a very short time. I thought about this and considered this is probably what driving is like for most people around the world. Not where I come from! Even driving in Christchurch is easy, with light traffic loads even at peak hour I don’t get stressed, and to be honest, hour is a bit of an exaggeration.
Driving in the South Island is easy, low stress, with good quality surfaces, low traffic numbers and interesting roads through stunning scenery. Bring a friend, share the driving (Experience) and fall in love again, with driving.
